Email Phishing Scheme: You have new document Attached to view from Google docs
Have you received an email like the one above from one of your known contacts?  Attached is a file called LETTER.htm.  If you open the attachment in a browser it will look like this (I opened it in an html editor):

The link attached to “Click here” is as follows (I intentionally made it an image so no one accidentally clicks on it):

If you visit that page it will take you to a fake google login page as seen below.  I visited it on a virtual machine running on my MacBook and then after doing all this reverted back to an old version of the disk to avoid picking up anything.

Fake (phishing) google login page

If you enter your email address and password you will be giving your credentials to the hackers to use this same scheme on everyone in your address book and will be redirected to an authentic google login page that asks for your login information again (and defaults to the last account you logged into google with):

After giving your email and password away you are then redirected to this real google login page

What to do if you fell for this phishing scheme:

If you accidentally fell for this and submitted your real email address and password you should immediately change your gmail email password and then if you use that same password and email combination at any other sites as login credentials you should go and change those passwords as well and stop using the same password on other sites as your email password because this is asking to get hacked and is a bad practice.
