How to Enable MMS on Your Factory Unlocked iPhone 4S on Straight Talk

If you haven’t fixed your MMS settings when you switch to Straight Talk

Hardware:

  • iPhone 4S running iOS 6.X
  • Straight Talk micro SIM
  • T-Mobile micro SIM
Step 1:  Insert the T-Mobile SIM card.  Wait for it to connect to T-Mobile.
Step 2: Go to: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network.  Leave your APN settings open and wait for the phone to recognize the SIM.
Step 3: Switch back to your Straight Talk SIM
Step 4: Enter the following settings:

Step 5: Tap “Cellular” to exit.  You may need to power cycle your phone for this to take effect.
If you are running iOS 7.X, I’ve read (here) you need to follow these steps:

1. Put in the TMobile SIM
2. Go to Cellular Data Network with the TMobile SIM in
3. switch to the notes app.
4. insert the Straight Talk SIM
5. wait until the iPhone recognizes the Sim
6. double tap home
7. switch to settings with CDN still open
8. enter your APN values
9. watch out because the iPhone will change them on you
10. back out of CDN
11. restart the phone

Now those are the steps that you are supposed to be able to follow and although I can go through those steps I cannot get them to stick.  I have given up for the time being but I did find another website that I’d suggest that is very thorough:How to Setup Straight Talk Wireless Data and MMS for your iPhone running iOS 7
