A couple times now we’ve had a problem with our Kenmore Side-by-side with ice in the door frosting up a bunch just on the inside of the door where the ice comes out.  The way this particular model of ice maker/dispenser works is that when you put your cup under the dispenser and push the lever, a door is mechanically opened, allowing the ice to fall into your glass.  When you remove your cup, the door (hopefully) slowly closes and seals itself shut.  The cause of the frost, for us, was that the door could not close completely because of some ice that had built up around the opening of the door:
View of the outside of the ice dispenser– the door is black.  Note, the seal is in bad shape too.
The frost was blocking the opening of the ice maker as well:
Make sure all the ice and frost is cleaned off the opening of the ice dispenser door and around where the ice is dispensed from the ice maker.  We had a lot of frost built up there.  Note: be careful not do damage the black foam seal that runs around the opening of the ice dispenser.  Ours is in bad shape and I’m sure that adds to the problem.
