Photoshop CS4 Graphics Issues on a Late-2011 17″ MacBook Pro

Hardware:

A couple times now the graphics on my MacBook Pro have gone wacky.  I snapped a couple pictures of it:

I’ve installed all the updates, including the recent firmware update, but that update didn’t have anything to do with graphics issues.  I did read here that the latest OS 10.7.3 introduced some issues and that it could be resolved by installing the “combo” version of the update, which can be applied over top of the one you already installed.  I haven’t experienced the “question mark” issue they talk about though.Update 4/25/12:
I haven’t seen any of these issues in quite a while but just yesterday had it flare up and then immediately go away.  I grabbed a picture of it:

Update 5/9/12:
Just today I re-sized a window in Photoshop CS4 11.0.2 and the screen showed garbled graphics.  I don’t know if this has any connection to the previous issues I’ve had.  Yes, the picture is of me–I was testing the tracking software, Prey, I have installed on my MacBook so I can get it back if it is stolen.  It will show your computer on a map, will take screenshots, and will take pictures of the thief with the iSight camera, like this:
Graphics issues within a Photoshop image window.
Update 8/18/12:
I ran into it again while Photoshop CS4 was running.  It seems to happen more often when Photoshop is running but it’s not always running when it does it:

Update 9/22/13:
I have narrowed down this issue to purely Photoshop 11.0.2 only.  It happens when I resize the window larger than the actual image.  It doesn’t cause any problems so I’m just going to live with it at this point.
